Marjorie R. Harmon, 89, of Dover died on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Union Hospital in Dover.
Born May 3, 1920 in Zoar, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Lenglerer Duerr. She graduated from Dover High School in 1939. Marjorie married William "Bill" Harmon on April 30, 1955. Bill preceded her in death on September 1, 2007.
For many years, she worked for the Timken Company in Canton.
She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. Marjorie loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to monthly gatherings with her cousins. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and playing cards with her friends and family.
Marjorie will be sadly missed by her son; Dan Harmon of Dover; sister, Ida Klein of Dundee; three grandchildren, Hannah, Jenna and Jordan Harmon all of Smyrna, Delaware; a special sister in-law, Dorothy Clark of New Philadelphia, and her brother in-law, Clint Harmon of Tuscarawas.
A celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 11:00 am with Pastor Gary Friend officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal a luncheon will be held at St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11:00 a.m.
