Mark T. Lieser

Mark T. Lieser, age 63, of Dover, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, after battling leukemia, which was diagnosed this past August.

Born December 2, 1959, in Dover, he was a son of the late William E. “Bill” and Ruth Ann Hoverland Lieser. Mark graduated from Dover High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron. He passed his certified public accountant examination, obtained his CPA license, and was employed by Hall, Kistler & Co. in Canton. Mark and his father also owned a small business called Lieser Art Productions.

Mark led a quiet reflective life, which included walking, playing golf, following the Cleveland Browns, listening to music and reading.

He will be dearly missed by his sister and brother, Pam Lieser of New Philadelphia, and Pat (Jeanie) Lieser of Minerva; his nephews and niece, Michael and Jonathan (Hillari) Lieser, Sara (Todd) Sonnenberg and Brian (Keri) Morlock; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Quinn, Ty, Carter and Clara.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey W. Lieser.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 23, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. A funeral service will follow at 1:30, and burial will be with his parents and brother in Dover Burial Park. 

Instead of flowers, donations in Mark’s memory may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
