Mark T. Lauber

Mark T. Lauber, 44 of Dover, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, after a courageous seventeen-month battle with leukemia, under the tender care of the medical and nursing staff of Memorial Six South at Aultman Hospital and University Hospital in Cleveland.

Born January 16, 1959, in Millersburg, he was the son of R. Thomas Lauber of Naples, FL, and the late Betty Patterson Lauber.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Sorg Lauber, with whom he would have celebrated twenty-five years of marriage on October 7; children, Justin, Jessica, Jacob and Jennifer; grandmother, Louella Patterson; siblings, Mike (Elizabeth) and Patrick (Jennifer) Lauber and Mary Ann (John) Adams; and faithful companion, Dottie the Dalmation.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jordan.

Mark was the owner of the Harrison Paint Co., Canton, and was the former owner of Invincible AirFlow Systems, Baltic, Rolite Plastics, Midvale, and Tusco Display, Gnadenhutten.

He led an active life, enjoying bicycling, racquetball, excercising - and was an avid fan of his children's Dover Tornado sports teams.

Mark graduated from Washington High School in 1977, where he was a captain of the Tiger football team. He was an Eagle Scout, and was active in the life of St. John's United Church of Christ, Dover, serving as trustee. He also served as trustee of the Tuscarawas County YMCA.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held Monday, May 19, at 11 a.m., in St. John's United Church of Christ, with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover.
