Marla Mcdonald

Marla McDonald, 75, of Dover went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

Born on September 18, 1941 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ann (Lomen) Rankin. Marla was also preceded in death by her sons, Vernon Jr. and John "Leroy" McDonald. She attended Dover High School.

On August 29, 1958 she married the love of her life, Vern McDonald. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover. Marla was a loving homemaker and caregiver to all.

In addition to her husband, Vern, she will sadly be missed by her daughters; Lori Ann (Brian) Miller of Sugarcreek, Holly (Frank) Lehigh of New Philadelphia; brother, Gary (Judy) Rankin of Florida; two grandchildren, Marsha (Jeremy) Herron of Sugarcreek, and Christopher Sigler of New Philadelphia; along with three great grandchildren, Billy, Brooke, and Brandi Herron all of Sugarcreek.

In honoring Marla's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. There will be no service or calling hours.
