Marlene R. Nedrow, age 81, of Dover, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia.
Born September 26, 1935, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Grace Harper Wilson. Marlene graduated from Dover High School in 1953, and married Forest W. “Junior” Nedrow on April 14, 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was a member of Dover’s Community Baptist Church. Marlene enjoyed sewing, crocheting and crafting.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Nedrow of Bolivar, and Bill (Carol) Nedrow of Dover; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Nedrow of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Joshua (Jen), Stevie Renee (fiancé, Steven Wheeler) and Zackarie Nedrow; her great-grandson, Alex Nedrow; her sister, Eileen Wassem; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Forest, on October 18, 2011, and by her brother, Don Wilson.
Honoring Marlene’s wishes, she will be cremated and her remains returned to the earth in Dover Burial Park’s Scattering Garden. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 30, at 5 p.m., in Community Baptist Church; Pastor Andy McClung will officiate. There will be a light reception in the church following the service.
