Mary Ann Lawver, 83, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 in the Country Club Retirement Center.
Born March 27, 1919 at Cambridge, she was daughter of the late John & Frances Atkinson Mason.
She had been a longtime, active member of the Church of the Brethren at New Philadelphia. She loved spending time with friends and family and had also enjoyed her affiliation with the former area “Navy Moms” club.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Wesley E. Lawver, who passed away on March 22, 1998.
Survivors include: a son; Richard & Peggy Ann Lawver of Dover, daughter; Mrs. Benjamin (Carol Ann) Shaw of Dover, five grandchildren; Shelley Poole of New Philadelphia, Mary Ann Mastnick of Massillon, Cindy Rainsberger of Sugarcreek, Lisa Phillips of Dover and Michael Lawver of Dover, nine great grandchildren, a sister; Mildred Lahm of Dover, two brothers Kenny Yeagle of Zanesville and Eugene Howell of Wooster.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, granddaughter, and daughter, Bernice Marie Lawver.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18, at 11:00am in the First Church of the Brethren, New Philadelphia with Rev Max Canfield and Rev. Wayne Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Due to the current renovations of Toland-Herzig�(TM)s New Philadelphia facility, friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Tuesday from 5-8pm.
