Mary Ann Rimer, 88, of Amberwood Residence, New Philadelphia, and formerly of Dover, died Sunday, Mar. 6, 2005, in Union Hospital, Dover.
Born Jul. 28, 1916, on Anola Ave. in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Josephine Young Norscia. Ann graduated Dover High School and attended Wittenberg University. She was wed to Daniel J. Korns. Daniel preceded her in death in 1977. On Jan. 2, 1981 she married Earl D. Rimer. Ann was employed for a time by the late Dan Knisely, Mayor of New Philadelphia. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, New Philadelphia, serving as Deacon, Elder and participating in church circles.
Survivors include her husband, Earl; a step-daughter, Kathleen (Jim) Wehrkamp of Homosassa Springs, FL; a step-son, Thomas A. (Judy) Rimer, also of Homosassa Springs; two grandchildren, Terry (Nancy) Wehrkamp and Beth (Bob) Ross; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Dab) Cardani of New Philadelphia; brother, Eugene (Lil) Contini of Columbia, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Ann�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Thursday, Mar. 10, at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, New Philadelphia, with Pastor Michael Seeley officiating. Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the church.
