Mary Belle Menges, 73, of Dover and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Friday, December 3, 2010, following a sudden illness.
Born October 28, 1937, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary O'Shaunaughnessy Adams. She married Adrian George Menges, who preceded her in death. Her companion; Albert Sankar, three half brothers and many cousins also preceded her in death.
Mary graduated from Midvale High School in 1955. She was a member of the Holmes United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia where she served as a Lay Speaker for many years. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, and she also took time to visit nursing homes and hospital patients something she loved to do.
Many cousins and close friends survive her.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, December 6, 2010, from 4-6 pm. Following visitation, cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at a later date.
