Mary E. Bartholomew Gerber

Mary E. Bartholomew Gerber, 90, of Dover went to meet her Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born March 23, 1914 in Youngstown, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Kurt and Nora Rohn Bartholomew.

Mary had a great love for God, and was active for many years at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover and was also a member of St. Paul�(TM)s United Church of Christ Ruslin Hills. She could be described as a Proverbs 31 woman: “ Her children rise up and call her blessed”. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew A. Gerber, who died on May 28, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters, Anna Mae Kaiser of Dover and Norma Jean (Paul) Dear of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, William “Bill” (Carol) Gerber of Dover, Herman “Chip” (Sharon) Gerber of Satsuma, Florida; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Harold “Hal” Gerber; sister, Dorothy Kennedy; two brothers, William and David Bartholomew.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover with Rev. Paul Dear officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Laurens Cemetery at Bolivar. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
