After a full life of 103 1/2 years, Mary E. Hachtel died in her home on July 31, 2005. Her hope is to be awakened from death(TM)s sleep in the paradise earth referred to by the Apostle Peter at 2 Peter 3:13 where he says, “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, who died in 1977 after 54 years of marriage; parents, George and Minnie Stoner; infant son, George; grandson, Donald; brothers, Roy and Ray Stoner; sisters, Ruth Klein and Evelyn Stoner. Mary loved the earth and her garden, but above all, she loved her God, Jehovah, to whom she dedicated her life in 1948. She remained an active member of the New Philadelphia Congregation of Jehovah(TM)s Witnesses up until her death.
