Mary Elizabeth Repan Saki, 80, of Quaker City, beloved wife of Louis Edward Saki, went peacefully home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family, on January 20, 2007, after a lengthy illness.
Born November 3, 1926, and married October 5, 1946, in Belmont County, Mary celebrated her eightieth birthday and sixty years of marriage in 2006.
Mary will be sorely missed by her four devoted daughters, Nancy J. Ancell of Cambridge, J. Sue (Fred) Bowen of Parkville, MO, Carole A. (Pat) Antonelli and Mary J. (Butch) Fox, both of Dover. She leaves seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Mildred) Repan; and a sister, Pauline Nichol.
Mary(TM)s greatest achievement was the loving home she provided for her husband, daughters and grandchildren. She was a charter member and former Sunday school teacher at the Quaker City Baptist Church, in Quaker City, where she resided for thirty-five years. Mary(TM)s interests included reading, gardening, cooking and shopping.
Mary was the youngest daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine Cingel Repan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Joseph Repan; a son-in-law, Orville “Junior”
Ancell; and a brother-in-law, Albert L. Nichol.
In keeping with Mary(TM)s wishes, she will be cremated, and her life will be celebrated in a service Saturday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m., in the Trinity Baptist Church, 9260 Cadiz Rd., Cambridge. Arrangements are in the care
of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. To sign an online
register and share a fond memory of Mary, please visit the funeral home(TM)s
Web site and click on “obituaries.”
Instead of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East Thirty-third St., New York, NY 10016.
