Mary G. Huffman

Mary G. Huffman, 91, of Dover died Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the Community Hospice House.

Born June 10, 1924 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Contini Lombardo. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Darl D. Huffman on August 31, 2002; brothers, John, Sam, Charles and Marion Lombardo; sisters, Mary and Rosina Marie Lombardo and Florence Schlemmer.

Mary was employed at Union Hospital for 11 years in the Dietary Department and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In her younger years, she was a Girl Scout leader, Dover Band Booster and enjoyed crocheting.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Mary will be sadly missed by her son, Joseph (Terri) Huffman of Dover, granddaughter, Jesse Coffman; great grandsons, Jackson and Jenson and her nieces, Pat Morris and Joy Rodgers.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 21 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Following the burial, a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Thursday from 5-7 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 6:45.
