Mary Herron

Mary Herron, 85, of Dover, Ohio died Thursday, March 24, 2005 in the New Dawn Retirement Center following an extended illness.

Born July 29, 1919 in Adena, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lily Gavorcik Robis.

Mary was a member of the New Cumberland United Methodist Church. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and loved music. She was formerly active in the Grange.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis R. Herron who died March 10, 1999. She is survived by her sister, Delores (Dr. Daniel) Peck of Uhrichsville and a brother, Francis (Joan) Robis of New Philadelphia along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas A. Herron and a brother, Chester Robis.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 7pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Rev. Harry Milligan officiating. Interment will be in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:15pm to 7 pm.
