Mary Jane Frantz

Mary Jane Frantz, 60, of New Philadelphia died Friday, February 14, 2014 in Akron City Hospital following a three year battle with cancer.

Born September 25, 1953 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Jack and Marjorie Wilson Pealy. Mary Jane was also preceded in death by her father and mother in law, Bobby and Olive Frantz; brother in law, Roger Mast and sister in law, Christine Frantz.

Until a week ago, Mary Jane was employed by the Tuscarawas County Health Department having been a Clerical Specialist, and was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. Mary Jane enjoyed going out to dinner with her family and shopping, but most importantly she loved spending time with her only grandchild Emily, who happened to share her birthday.

A wonderful and loving wife, mother, mother in law and grandmother, Mary Jane will be sadly missed by her husband of almost 39 years, Rick Frantz whom she married on February 15, 1975; son Craig (Angie) Frantz of Uhrichsville; granddaughter, Emily Grace Frantz; sisters, Sandie Mast of Dover and Jackie Ann Flinner of New Philadelphia; nephews, Mark (Debbie) Flinner and Jeff (Alison) Flinner and great nephews, Caleb and Micah Flinner.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Bob Kuntz officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park.
