Mary Jean Luyster, 72, of Dennison, and a long time Strasburg resident died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Mercy Medical Center at Canton.
Born April 14, 1940 in New Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Lina Deibel Burrier. Mary Jean was also preceded in death by her husband, John C. Luyster on June 6, 1998 and her brother, Floyd Burrier.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg and attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville. Mary Jean enjoyed wildlife and loved to feed the birds and deer.
Mary Jean will be sadly missed by her brothers, Charles (Betty) Burrier of Sherrodsville and Dave (Mary) Burrier of New Philadelphia; companion, Jack McDaniel of Dennison; sister in law, Joann Burrier of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Mary Jean's life will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 3:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Larry Malterer officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 until 3:00.
