Mary Josephine McKnight Grinstead, 77, of Columbus and formerly of Dover, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2004 in her home.
Born December 29, 1926 at Dover, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary DeLuca Nichols.
She was a 1945 graduate of Dover High School.
Survivors include: sons, Michael J. (Kathie Reeves) McKnight and Marc J. (Vicci Cascioli) McKnight; step-children, Jim (Patty) Grinstead and Judy (John) Tong; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Albert (Mary) Nichols and Arthur (Ellie) Nichols; sisters, Ladea Zurcher, Alicia (Max) Waddington and JoAnn (Joe) Hammond; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, John W. McKnight and Allen Grinstead, Mary Jo was preceded in death by a sister, Valia Nichols, and a brother, Ralph Nichols.
Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Saturday, November 6 from 11:00 a.m. �" 1:00 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover. A time of prayer will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home followed by a graveside committal service in the Evergreen Burial Park in New Phila.
A reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center following the burial.
