Mary Kathryn (Kay) Render, 80, of Dover, Ohio died Monday, March 29, 2004 at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness.
She was an employee Buehlers�(TM)s Parkside at Dover and had previously been a nurses aid at Hennis Care Centre, a crossing guard at Dover Avenue School, a previously worked in Daycare.
Born September 29, 1923 in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Caroline Llewelyn Wise.
Kay was a member of the First Christian Church at Dover. She was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School and enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge club for over thirty years. She also loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bud” Render who died December 31, 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Heimbigner of Dover and two grandchildren including Kathy Heimbigner of Dover and her fiancé Michael Metzker of Fremont, Ohio along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Kerr, Faye Wise, Floretta Dempster, Jane Johns and Lillian Hawthorne.
A funeral service celebrating Kay�(TM)s life will be held Friday at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Donald Campbell and Kenard Parrott officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 pm.
