Mary L. Gross

Mary L. Gross, 91, formerly of Mineral City, Ohio died Monday, October 29, 2001 in the Park Village Health Care Center following a brief illness.

Born August 12, 1910 in Michalkovici, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia Kurek Shott.

Mary was a member of the Mineral City Church of the Nazarene, Sandy Valley Garden Club, and the Mineral City Senior Center. She enjoyed crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin H. Gross who died January 16, 1980.

She is survived by a daughter, Hazel Yockey of Dover and sons in law Cleo Miller of Dover and Arthur Komaromy of Port Charlotte, Florida.

Ten grandchildren Charles (Suzanne) Komaromy of Dover, Kathe (Harry) Paidas of Alliance, Evon Miller of Dover, Thomas (Pamela) Komaromy of Dover, Brett (Peggy) Miller of Dover, Cynthia Corregan of Canton, Betty (Bobby) Garneau of Port Charlotte, Fla., Bradley (Lori) Miller of Dover, Mary (James) Cugliari of Dover, and Christine (Mike) Sergent of Dover; two sisters, Helen (Robert) Farmer of Forest Park, Ga., Dorothy Bourdage of Morrow, Ga.; two brothers Albert Shott of Englewood, Florida and John (Hallie) Shott of New Philadelphia along with 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three daughters Betty Gross, Margaret Miller, and Norma Komaromy; 2 brothers, Frank and Edward Shott; two sisters, Anna Wasylik and Agnes Csicsila and three grandsons.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, Nov. 2 2001 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Dr. William C. Haggis officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Sandyville. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 pm.
