Mary Lee Hayes

Mary Lee Hayes, 91, of Dover, passed away at the Community Hospice Truman House on Friday, June 5, 2020.

Born in Quinwood, West Virginia on June 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alphus Burns and Icie Walton Benjamin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bennett Sr.; three brothers, Estel Burns, Kenneth Burns, and Woodrow Burns; and two sisters, Maxine Stull and Charlotte Freetage.

Mary enjoyed gardening, watching TV, and she had a love for all animals.

She leaves behind her son; Charles E. (Linda) Bennett Jr.; her daughter, Kay Lynn Bennett; three grandchildren including Beverly Kay Haught; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Goodman.
