Mary Louise Richard, 70, of Dover died Friday, February 8, 2002 at New Dawn Health Care Center following a bout with cancer.
Born April 3, 1931 in Dover she was the only child of the late Walter R. and Mabel Martin Brewer.
She graduated from Dover High School in 1949. After a short attendance at Stafford Business College in New Philadelphia she worked at Reeves Steel as a secretary for the next 30 years. Later she, and her husband Gene, bought Stallard Foodliner from Frank and Wanda Stallard.
She was a life long active member of Dover First Moravian Church and a long time member of Union Country Club. She was an avid walker and enjoyed horse-packing trips in the mountains of the west. She was a world traveler always ready to go on the next adventure. She also enjoyed meeting once a month with her high school classmates of 1949.
Mary Louise is survived by her husband Donald ''Gene'' Richard with whom she would have celebrated 37 years of marriage on June 13, 2002.
She is also survived by a son: John F. (Karen) Richard of Upper Arlington, OH
Two grandchildren: Connor and Colin Richard
Two aunts: Edith Brewer Paulus of Dover and Flora Martin of Springfield.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2002 at 11:00 am in the First Moravian Church in Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Sunday from 2-5 pm.
