Mary T. "Nina" Jennings

Mary T. “Nina” Jennings, 82, of Dover passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.

Born January 31, 1941 in Altoona, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of the late Augustine and Alberta O’Malley Voltz. Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. Jennings Jr. on January 25, 2012; an infant son, Tracey Jennings; four sisters and one brother.

Mary had retired in 2009 from Allied Machine after 23 years of service. She was also a 2001 graduate of Kent State University Tuscarawas, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at age 60, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Mary was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Dover and attended the Dover First United Methodist Church. In her younger years, she was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and was also an avid football fan, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mary is survived by her children, William Jennings III, and his companion, Betty Wardell of Midvale, Jon Jennings, Michael (Nikki) Jennings, Theresa (Jeremy) Shomo all of Dover; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Mary’s life will be held on Friday, February 24th starting at 5:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Wesley George officiating. The family will be greeting friends on Friday from 4 to 5 pm. Following the service, a funeral dinner will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
