Mary Virginia "Ginger" Gingrich

Mary Virginia (Ginger) Gingrich, 69 of New Philadelphia, formerly of Canton, passed away November 9, 2010. Ginger was a 1959 graduate of Lehman High School in Canton and attended Malone College. She enjoyed working word puzzles, playing Wheel of Fortune, and making plastic needlepoint creations. She was an active member of Church of the Savior United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed visits from the pastor and tapes of church services when she became home bound.

Ginger was preceded in death by her father and mother, Richard Gingrich and Virginia Gingrich. She is survived by her siblings, John (Nancy) Gingrich of Farmington, MI, Susan (Henning) Henriksen of Dover, and David (Jane) Gingrich of Dover. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Sharon (Jeff) Hall of Anchorage, AK, Paul (Michelle) Gingrich of Canton, Maria (Robert) DeHoff of Covington, KY, Ben Gingrich of Cleveland, Adam Gingrich of Cincinnati, and Joe Gingrich of Dover. She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be planned for a time in the future when the family can gather together. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover are handling arrangements.
