Maurice H. Froman, 91, of Bolivar died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Union Hospital.

He was a motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing just about anywhere, and in his younger days was a member of the Yellow Jackets Motorcycle Club. Maurice proudly served his country during WW II with the US Army having been stationed in the Aleutian Islands and, at the end of the war, Iwo Jima. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg, New Philadelphia Elks, Bolivar Eagles and the former Dover VFW.
A wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather, Maurice will be sadly missed by his wife of 70 years, Esther "Sis" Longacher Froman; children, Lillian (Ed) Galli of Dover and Maurice Jr. (Linda) Froman of Bolivar; sister, Erma Boerum of Maryland; grandchildren, Gwenevere, Bill, Susie, John, Jason, Matthew, Tyler, Troy and Gina; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Maxwell, Nathaniel, Tristan, Miriam, Landon, Chase, Chelsa, Chantz, Carter, Grace, Makaylee, Maycee, Kacey, Madisyn, Holli and Bryson and great-great grandchildren, Delaine and Kyson.
