Maurice J. Froman

Maurice J. Froman, 74, of Bolivar died Thursday, June 29, 2017 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born April 11, 1943 in Dover he was a son of the late Maurice H. and Esther “Sis” Longacher Froman. Maurice was also preceded in death by his brother, Doug Froman.

Maurice retired from Conrail in Canton after 30 years of service as a Machinist. He was a member of the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau and the NRA. Maurice enjoyed riding his motorcycle, as well as, restoring and collecting antique cars, tractors and engines.

Maurice will be sadly missed by his wife 46 years, Linda K. Greenwood Froman whom he married on December 12, 1970; children, Susie Gordon of Bolivar, John (Lindsay) Froman of Oregon, Jason (Kristy) Froman of New Philadelphia; sister, Lillian (Ed) Galli of Bolivar; grandchildren, Tristan, Miriam and Landon Gordon; Chase, Chelsa and Chantz Froman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Doug DeMar officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
