Max F. Davis

Max F. Davis, 64, surrounded by his family, went home to be with the Lord after passing away in his home on Tuesday, August 15, 2000.

Born June 24, 1936 at New Philadelphia, he was son of the late Ralph & Catherine Maxwell Davis.

Max was a veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing guitar, loved watching airplanes and collecting model planes and also enjoyed camping and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian McConnell Davis, whom he wed on June 19, 1959.

Nancy & John Downing of New Philadelphia
1 brother James & Diane Davis of Roanoke, Virginia
Mother-in-law Mable McConnell
19 special nieces and nephews, 43 great nieces and nephews, 4 great, great nieces & nephews
Numerous cousins, and several camping friends.

In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John McConnell, and 5 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18 at 11:00am in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Larry Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9pm.
