Max W. Miller, 88, of Dover passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
Born on January 17, 1936, in Walnut Creek, he was a son of the late Lux and Beulah Kandle Miller. Max was also preceded in death by his wife Fonta "Tena" Miller on June 23, 2017.
Max dedicated a significant portion of his life to both his family and his career. He retired in 2000 after 45 years of service as a plant manager at Belden Brick Plant #8. Following his retirement, he continued to stay active by working for Parkway, delivering cars.
Max was known for his passion for bowling, participating in several local leagues. He was also an avid follower of the Cleveland Guardians, and loved to spend time at Mountaineer and Northwood Park. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover.
Max is survived by his loving children: Joel (Gloria) Miller of Dover, Tammy (Kara Brown) Miller of Marysville, and Scott (Beth) Miller of Dover. He was also a proud brother to Mary Jean (Eric) Kohler of Indian Lake. Max's legacy lives on through his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 1st starting at 1:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
