Maxine Cotterman, 86, of Dover, died Saturday July 5, 2008 in her home.
Born October 4, 1921 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Amelia (Loveday) Carpenter.
She graduated from New Philadelphia High School and later married Walter "Pappy" L. Cotterman on September 23, 1943. Walter preceded her in death on November 20, 1993.
Maxine was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed quilting, spending time outdoors, working in her yard, and had a special love for her dogs.
She is survived by her daughter; Gwenneth L. Floyd of Dover; her son, Terrance L. (wife, Patty) Cotterman of Dover; and a very dear and devoted friend, Janet Zimmerman of Dover, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Maxine is preceded in death by her four sisters; Lucille (husband, Pete) Ramirez, Betty (husband, Leonard) Mack, Faye (husband, George) Vlad, and Ethel (husband, Haskell) Roark; and two brothers, William and Harold Carpenter.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:00 am in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia with Chaplain Rick Brinsley officiating. Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
