Maxine R. Burns Stull

Maxine R. Burns Stull, 82, of Tuscarawas, Ohio died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Union Hospital.

Born November 16, 1926 in Marfrance, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Alphus Burns and Icie Walton Burns Benjamin. Her husband of 49 years, Elwood Stull who died on October 24, 1996; a daughter and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Maxine was a born again, spirit filled Christian who loved her family and enjoyed working in her garden. One of her passions was growing her vegetables and getting ready for the canning season. She was also very particular about her flower garden and that perfection also spilled over to her crocheting.

A wonderful mother and grandmother, Maxine will be sadly missed by her children, Sherry (Jon) DeVries of Round Rock, Texas, Caroline (Arthur) McGraw of Whitehall, Ohio, Wanda Sue Stull of Uhrichsville and Robert (Diane) Stull of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Charlotte (Greg) Freetage of Midvale, Shirley (Chuck) Goodwin of New Philadelphia and Mary Lee Hayes of New Philadelphia; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at New Philadelphia with Rev. Kevin Anslow officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
