Maxine R. Hazel, 92, of Dover, and formerly a resident of Dalton and Wooster, passed away September 10, 2002 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.
She and her late husband were co-founders of the Cordelia Ware Pottery in Dalton.
Born June 22, 1910 at Beloit (Mahoning County), Ohio, she was daughter of the late Bert Ross & Sadie Stanyard Gray.
She had been a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church. More recently, she had attended the Dover Christian and Missionary Alliance church and was active in its Wednesday morning ladies bible group.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. “Chuck” Hazel, who died in 1983.

In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by her son, Charles E. Hazel, daughter, Nada Hazel and sisters, Ellen Farrish and Ardena Dorsey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13, at 11:00am in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Richard Rose officiating. Interment will be in the Dalton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to services.
