May L. Applegarth, 67, of Uhrichsville died Friday, November 8, 2002 at her home following a brief illness.

Born April 8, 1935 in Lafferty, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lottie Walker Bethel.

May enjoyed sewing, knitting and taking care of her family.

She is survived by a son: David (Tina) Applegarth Sr. of Uhrichsville

Four daughters: Kathy (William Sr.) Pompey of New Philadelphia
Belinda Kies of Mt. Pleasant
Carol (Joseph Sr.) Smith of Mt Pleasant
Tammey (Nicole) Bynum Applegarth of Greensboro, North Carolina

Sister: Mary Lou Burke of Mt. Pleasant

She was also preceded in death by one great grandson and five brothers.

Due to the remodeling of our New Philadelphia facilities funeral services will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday, November 11, 2002 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
