Melvin L. Stephan

Melvin L. Stephan, 70, of Strasburg died Friday, September 17, 2010 at Union Hospital.

He had retired from Republic Steel in Massillon after 33 years of service.

Born May 27, 1940 in New Philadelphia, Ohio he was a son of the late Harry and Margaret Barcus Stephan. Melvin was also preceded in death by his companion; brothers, Jason, James and Carl Stephan; sister, Evelyn Alleshouse and his dog KC.

He was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary.

Melvin is survived by his brother, Francis Stephan of Massillon and his special family.

Cremation will be handled through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. There are no calling hours or services. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Melvin may do so by visiting the on line obituaries link on the funeral homes website.
