Michael B. Watson

Michael B. Watson, 26, of 1000 Pine Ridge Pkwy. N.W., Strasburg, Ohio and a former Dover resident died Thursday, August 21, 2003 in the Union Hospital emergency room following a motorcycle truck accident.

Mike was a field manager for the Pine Ridge Developers, a family owned business operated by his father, Mike and his father's partner, Phil Dreher in Strasburg.

Born August 8, 1977 in Canton, he was the son of Michael R. and Patti Hammonds Watson of Strasburg.

He was an active member of the Alpine Bible Church in Sugarcreek where he served as the Young Adult Ministries Worship leader. He was a 1995 graduate of Dover High School. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar and especially loved riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his brother, David of Strasburg; paternal grandmother, Eileen Watson of Dover and maternal grandmother, Norma J. Hammonds of East Sparta along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Watson and maternal grandfather, Verl Hammonds.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, 2003 at 10:00 am in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg with Pastors Jack Stahl and Byron Stewart officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Sunday from 2-6 pm.
