Michael H. Tremba, Jr., 79, of Dover, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 21, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton following an extended illness.
He retired in 1980, as supervisor of J&L Steel Corporation in Cleveland where he worked for over 25 years. Following retirement, he was a Security Guard for several area businesses.
Born April 15, 1925 in Majerka, Czechoslovakia, the son of Matilda Lesny Tremba of Parma Heights and the late Michael H. Tremba Sr.
Mike attended the Dover Bible Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II where he fought in the Battle of Normandy. He enjoyed reading.
In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by his wife, Leatrice Eiben Tremba with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage on February 2. He is also survived by two children, Marilynda (Maj.Michael) Milteer of Ft. Meade, Maryland and Dr. Michael D. Tremba and his fiancé Shari Rabon of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Joseph and Joshua Milteer and a sister, Elaine (Dan) Plumlee of Parma Heights, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 11am in the Dover Bible Church with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will follow in the Dover Burial Park where the New Philadelphia VFW will conduct military graveside services. A reception will follow the committal in the Dover Bible Church. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. and at the church Thursday from 10-11am.
