Mildred F. Heid Emery, of Dover, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 3, 2007, in Mercy Medical Center, Canton. Still an active lady at 91 years old, Mildred took ill while doing what she loved best, playing a good game of bridge with her friends.

Mildred graduated from Dover High School in 1934, and attended both Ohio University and Northwestern University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from Ohio U. in 1939. While at Ohio, she belonged to the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Dover, and was active in the Loyola Study Club, LCBA, and the St. Joseph Senior Citizens. Additionally, Mildred belonged to the Dover Literary Club, the Dover Historical Society, the Hummel Club, and several bridge clubs. She was also one of the last surviving members of the Cootie Club, a club which she helped found at the age of 12 in 1928.
