Mildred Irene Stilgenbauer

Mildred Irene Stilgenbauer, age 80, of Dover, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, in Dover’s Union Hospital.

Born October 11, 1937, in Guernsey County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Kirkbride Dean. Mildred attended high school in Guernsey County and moved to Dover shortly afterward. She married Lee Stilgenbauer on December 27, 1958, and the couple were parents to five children. Mildred was a loving homemaker who especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and staying abreast of their activities. She also liked walking the neighborhoods around the different homes where she lived over the years.

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy McCoury, Cheryl Stilgenbauer and Lori (Darryl) Lamonica, all of Dover; her son, Rick (Judy Tidrick) Stilgenbauer, also of Dover; her daughter-in-law, Marge Stilgenbauer of Tuscarawas; her grandchildren, April, Travis, Jesse, Abby, Jamie, Christopher, Jonathan, Maddison, Logan and Camryn; her great-grandchildren; her siblings, Kathleen Cramer, Arlene (Ralph) Doherty, Ruby (Virgil) Quillen, Diane (Kenny) Hayes, Shirley, Tom, Jim (Sandy) and Rod Dean; and her many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; her son, Lee Stilgenbauer Jr.; and her sister, Charlene Rapp.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Tuesday, June 5, 5 - 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a lunch in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
