Mildred N. Sweitzer, 93, of York, PA and a former longtime Dover resident, died Saturday, December 7, 2002.
Born July 12, 1909 at Bolivar, she was daughter of the late Bert & Flossie King Goudy.
She had been an active member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover where she had served as Deaconess and a member of Church Council. She was also involved with the Berean Sunday school class and had enjoyed teaching the Junior Sunday school class for many years.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Henry W. Sweitzer, who died September 16, 1982.
Survivors include: two granddaughters; Mrs. Donald (Marla Kay) Allen of Brogue, PA and Mrs. Gary (Marcine) Baker of York, PA, great grandchildren; David Allen & Sonia Ammann, son-in-law; Paul Krebs of Starr, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Marie Krebs, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, at 11:00am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm as well as one hour prior to services on Thursday.
