Mildred P. Keffer, 90, of Dover died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 in the New Dawn Retirement Center.
Born Oct. 31, 1923 in Germano, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruby (Miller) Thompson.
Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. She had previously been active in the Tuscarawas Senior Citizens Group at Memorial Hall in Dover. She enjoyed sewing and was a dog lover and enjoyed her canine companions Oliver and Baby.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Keffer who died July 31, 1991.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina Keffer and companion Steve Hite of Dover; two sisters, Ruth (Bill) Yost of Piedmont and Shirley (Dave) Waller of St. Clairsville; two brothers, Walter (Dottie) Thompson of Hopedale and Myron (Wanda) Thompson of Cadiz.
Mildred was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Thompson and Thelma Bailie and two brothers, Raymond and Byron Thompson.
Pastor Brian Flood will officiate private services at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover. There are no calling Hours.
