Mildred R. “Midge” Lahm, 90, of Pennsylvania and formerly of Dover, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born on May 31, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Atkinson) Howell. She graduated from Dover High School. On July 11, 1953, she married Russell “Mike” Lahm, who preceded her in death on May 8, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her brother; Fred Mason, sister; Margaret Howell, and her half-sister, Mary Lawver.
Midge worked as a nurse’s aide at Union hospital and volunteered as a candy striper for many years. She was a member of the Dover Alliance Church in Dover. She was a talented baker and loved cooking for her family and friends.
She leaves behind her three children; Patricia (Joseph) Wiegand of Dover, Ricky (Darlene) Lahm of New Philadelphia, and Tammy Jo (Joseph) Kerr of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; Joshua (Krystal) Wiegand, Christopher Lahm, Jessica Lynn (Joshua) Cass, and Samantha Jo Kerr; her great-grandchildren; Jocelyn Ann and Mark Cass, and Asher and Kinzy Wiegand; three brothers, Eugene Howell, Kenny Yeagle, and Charles Howell; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Angel.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Dover Burial Park on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 11:00 am with Pastor Richard Lawver officiating.
