Mildred V. Herman, 85, of the Hennis Care Centre and a longtime Dover resident died Wednesday, September 15, 1999 in the centre following an extended illness.
Mildred retired in 1976 as a Sales Associate for the former Schwartz Kline’s Store in Dover and New Philadelphia where she worked for over 22 years.
Born November 14, 1913 in Newcomerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Marcia Milligan Sigman.
She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ at Dover where she was active in the Adult Bible Class and Rebekah Circle. She was also a member of the Tuscarawas County AARP, and the Tuscarawas County YMCA Twinges and Hinges Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene M. Herman who died October 28, 1974.
She is survived by her son Thomas Herman and his fiance Donna of Clearwater, Florida and five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol (Mrs. Emerson) Renicker, two great grandchildren and her brother, Edgar “Buddy” Sigman.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1:00 PM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steven Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-5 PM.
