Misty Breitenstein

Misty Breitenstein, age 39, of Dover, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019, in Community Hospice’s Truman House, New Philadelphia. Misty had battled cancer much of her life.

Born August 15, 1979, she was a daughter of Rose Potts Breitenstein of Dover, and the late Robert Breitenstein. Misty attended Dover High School and Buckeye Career Center, graduating in 1997. While in high school, Misty played the cello in the orchestra. She belonged to LifeWay Church in New Philadelphia, and enjoyed arts and crafts of all kinds. Watching birds was another of Misty’s favorite pastimes.

She will be dearly missed by her mother, Rose; her sisters, Crystal Young and Carla York; her brother, Charles York; her three nieces and one nephew; and her many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her father, Misty was preceded in death by her brother, John Young, and her dog, Popcorn.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Saturday, June 22, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. A service will follow at 1:30 with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Misty’s memory be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
