Mitchell R. Hidey

Mitchell R. Hidey, 25, of Dover died unexpectedly Saturday evening, August 6, 2011 at Union Hospital in Dover.

Mitch was self employed and worked as a plumber's assistant for Lawver Plumbing in Dover.

Born August 13, 1985 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of Lou Ann (Homan) Hidey of New Philadelphia and the late Frederick J. Hidey.

Mitch loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and fishing. He also liked woodworking. He enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his loved canine companion, Rambo. He and his fiancé Sarah loved hiking and spending time together at Dundee Falls. He will be remembered for his generosity and was always there to help others in their time of need.

In addition to his mother, Mitch is survived by his fiancé Sarah Watkins; a son Cameron Hidey of Newcomerstown; two brothers Trevor and Kris Hidey both of Dover along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Luther Hidey and Pauline Homan.

Friends may call on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 4-7pm at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. Cremation will follow the visitation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Jerusalem Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
