Nancy V. Jackson

Nancy V. Jackson, 80, of Uhrichsville passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Claymont Health and Rehab.

Born on June 26, 1937 in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Cecil S. and Rebecca (Carnes) Chapman. Nancy married the love of her life, H. Eugene Jackson on August 16, 1955. The couple was married for 50 years before he passed away on May 13, 2005. Nancy was also preceded in death by her daughters; Jeanna, and Gerrilynne Jackson and Etheyl Hritz; and her son in-law, Dan Mennom.

Nancy was a homemaker, but she also worked as a home health aid for over 13 years. She was a former member of the Christian Temple in Uhrichsville. She was a foster grandparent with COAD in East Port Elementary in Uhrichsville. Nancy was a talented baker and crafter and loved using her talents for the residents at Claymont Health and Rehab Center. .

She will be sadly missed by her children; Rodney (Angela) Jackson of Uhrichsville, Becky Mennom of New Philadelphia; ; sisters, Helen (Kenneth) Walkerly of Wooster, and Sarah (Denny) Traxler of Indiana; three grandchildren, Charity (David) Scott, Kimberly (Nathan) Jones, and Dan Lowery (fiance, Barbara Fitack); along with 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild who completes the family.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 3-5pm. There will be a graveside service Monday, May 7, 2018 at 2:00pm at New Pittsburgh Cemetery in Wooster, Ohio with Pastor Matt Eggerton officiating.
