Nell F. Perry, 102, of Dover, and formerly a 55 year resident of California left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.
Born January 10, 1910 in Uhrichsville she was a daughter of the late Henry and Flora Eichel Roth. Nell was a member of a strong Roth family that included seven brothers and four sisters who also preceded her in death. She married Howard Sharp and together they moved to California during WW II to start their lives together. Howard died in 1982 after 50 years of marriage. Later, Nell married Melvin Perry who died in 1990.
Nell started her teaching career at Tuscarawas before moving to California and teaching at the Seal Beach Intermediate School for the next 28 years. She retired from teaching at 60 years of age and moved back to Dover at age 89. Nell loved traveling with friends and family members to every state capital and many foreign countries.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews especially her nephew, David Myers and niece. Joyce Evans who cared for her needs while she was in the Hennis Care Centre the last two years.
Per Nell's wishes there will be no public services or calling hours. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery at Uhrichsville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover.
