Nicholas A. "Nick" Muzechuk, age 82, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, in his home following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 21, 1930, in New Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Marie Hamilton Muzechuk. Nick graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1947, and, on Sept. 30, 1950, married the former Betty Siegenthaler. He was employed by the Continental Baking Co. in Canton, for thirty-one years, retiring in 1983.
Nick loved God and enjoyed worshipping at church. He was a member of the Temple of Praise Church of God and attended Trinity Gospel Temple, both of Canton, as well as attending Carrollton Believer's Fellowship. He restored sports cars in his spare time, and was especially proud of his Jaguar XKE. Nick was "Mr. Fix-It," and could repair or build just about anything. He also took meticulous care of his home and the area around it.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; a daughter, Karen (Michael) Santangelo of Canton; two sisters, Dencie Muzechuk and Sheila (Dave) Bair, both of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Tom (Pat) and Dan (Marlene) Muzechuk, both also of New Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Frank Leghart of Carrollton Believer's Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park.
