Nola V. Blickensderfer

Nola V. Blickensderfer, 89, a longtime resident of Elm St., Dover died Monday, June 12, 2000 in Park Village Health Care Center, after a brief illness.

She had worked for over 30 years at Union Hospital as a Lab Assistant.

Born April 28, 1911 at New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Curtis & Margaret Stewart Sherman.

Nola was a 60-year member of the First United Methodist Church at Dover, a member of the Dover Historical Society, Business & Professional Women's Association, was an active volunteer with the Meals on Wheels Program and the New Dawn Health Care Center. She also was an avid traveler with her special friend Elise Blickensderfer.

Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Blickensderfer, who passed away on October 5, 1985.

Sons John (Mary Lee) Blickensderfer of Sugarcreek
Dr. Robert ''Jerry'' (Barbara Ann) Blickensderfer of Edgewater, FL
1st cousin Vivian Stewart
8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren


In addition to her parents and husband, Nola was preceded in death by a son, James and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 15, at 2:00pm in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Joseph Glassner officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
