Norma E. Locker

Norma E. Locker, age 77, of Bolivar, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, in Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar.

Born December 26, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Perlee Sr. and Alice Steinke Grove. Norma attended Beach City High School and was employed by Cable Manufacturing & Assembly Company at Bolivar, from which she retired. She also worked part-time cleaning for the U.S. Post Office at Bolivar, where she was affectionately known as "Sweep." Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother AND great-great-grandmother. Additionally, she was a devoted mom to her two dogs, Buddy and Chloe. In her spare time, Norma enjoyed doing craftwork, sewing and working puzzles.

Survivors include her sons, Phillip (companion, Tonya Wirick) Dennison of Fredericktown, Perry (Linda) Dennison of Navarre, Paul (Cindy) Dennison of Dorset, and Paris Dennison of Bolivar; her 12 grandchildren; her many great-grandchildren; her several great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Nancy (Delmer) Clemens of Massillon, and Patricia (Ronny) Kula of Danville; her brothers, Perlee Grove Jr. of Beach City, Melvin (Phyllis) Grove of West Virginia, and James Grove of Dalton; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 23 years, Charles D. Locker, on August 5, 1995; her daughter, Peggy Lawrence; her daughter-in-law, Mary Dennison; her great-great-grandson; her sisters, Arnella Young and Catherine Sampsel; and her brothers, Clyde and Elmer Grove.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 30, at 1 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will be in Bolivar's Fort Laurens Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, 5 8 p.m.
