Norma G. Netting

Norma G. Netting, 86, a longtime Dover resident and formerly of Cambridge died peacefully in her sleep Sunday, October 24, 2010.

Norma was an employee of the former Rink's Dept. Store in New Philadelphia and years ago, worked for the former Kresge Company in Cambridge.

Born October 17, 1924 in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Pezan) Casey.

She was an active member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Dover. She was a 1942 graduate of Cambridge High School. She was devoted to her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was an avid golfer and bowler.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clifford P. Netting who died February 19, 1994. She was also preceded by seven sisters and one brother.

She will be sadly missed by her three children, Bonnie (husband, David) Reichman of Tuscarawas, Diane (husband, Kevin) Marshall of New Philadelphia and Thomas Netting of Akron; six grandchildren, Lori (John) Hill, Andrew (Page) Reichman, Jamie (Ryan) Stewart, Shannon (Doug) Smith, Stefani Marshall and her companion, Suhail and Allison Marshall and her fianc Max; four great grandchildren, Brennen Reichman, Kylie and Kevin Smith, and Ryan Hill; two step greatgrandchildren, Kaden and Kaya Russell; a sister, Betty (husband, Charles) Sykes of Florida; her in laws, Eugene (Marian) Netting of Byesville and "Toots" Casey of Newark along with several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Norma's life will be held Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Pastor Shelly Nordine officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Faith United Methodist Church in Dover. A public graveside service will be held Thursday at 3pm in the Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8pm.
