Norma J. Marks, 76, of Dover, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005, in her home following a sudden illness.
Born December 19, 1928, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Frey Manley. Norma graduated from Dover High School in 1946, and, on October 8, 1950, was wed to Donald D. Marks in her parents�(TM) home. She was employed by the General Electric Co. in Dover for thirty-three years before retiring in 1991.
Norma enjoyed traveling with her family taking many photographs everywhere she went. She and Donald celebrated their 50th anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. Norma was also very fond of getting together with old friends at G.E. retirees�(TM) luncheons and Dover High School get-togethers. She was a member of St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ, Dover.
Survivors include her loving husband, Donald; a son, Matt Marks of Middlefield; a sister, Carol (Bruce) Abrecht of Parral; a brother, Ronald (Judy) Manley of Newcomerstown; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Dolores Marks of Dover.
Norma�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Saturday, July 23, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Dr. Steven R. Bailey of the First United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ.
