Norma Jean Mcbride

Norma Jean McBride, 78, of Dover died Saturday, August 18, 2001 at her home following an extended illness.

She retired in 1986 from Reeves after 43 years of service.

Born October 2, 1922 in Dover she was the daughter of the late George ''Curley'' and Verde Dowell McBride.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dover and the Ruth Circle for over fifty years. She was also a member of Alpha Pi Sigma sororities Mu Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron and Treasurer of the former Dover Chapter, Women's Literary Society, Triangle Club and was a Charter Member of the Tuscora Chapter of Professional Secretaries International.

She is survived by her brother: Edson McBride of Dover

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at 1:00 pm in the First United Methodist Church at Dover with Dr. David Oliver and Rev. John Preusser officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Monday from 6-8 pm with Eastern Star services starting at 5:45 and Alpha Pi Sigma services at 7:45 pm.
