Norman C. ''Charlie'' Kendle, 66, of Dover died Saturday, January 5, 2002 at Union Hospital following a sudden illness.
He retired in 1982 from Columbia Fire Brick after 30 years of service.
Born July 18, 1935 in Dover he was a son of the late Norman and Margaret Grove Kendle.
He was a member of Flame of Pentecost Church in Dover, and enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Wright Kendle with whom he would have celebrate 47 years of marriage on April 10, 2002.
He is also survived by two daughters: Rhonda (Tim) Baker of Piedmont

Two sons: Dwayne Kendle and his fiancé Terry Cunningham of Canton
Doug (Linda) Kendle of Dover
Two brothers: Louis (Dolly) Kendle of Dover
Paul (Sherri) Kendle of Mineral City
Two sisters: Betty (Jim) Fickes of New Philadelphia
Eleanora McNutt of Mineral City
6 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2002 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Kevin Anslow officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
